The current state of animal massage & educationAnimal massage is in danger of going mainstream! The past several days at the Reliant Park World Dog Shows in Houston,
Texas I administered massage to massage to dozens of dogs. Most were canine athletes, but some were pets whose caretakers
simply wanted the best for their best friends. To those who may wonder about spending money getting a massage for a
dog when so many children are going without, it is less expensive to provide care that supports health maintenance than it
is to wait for your canine companion to become ill. Why wait for illness and disease to invade the body? It is
better to have your animal friend receive treatment that will support his body in maintaining homeostasis. Homeostasis,
as used here, is the tendency of a living creature's system to be stable, maintaining a balanced healthy condition where
all of it's parts are working correctly and interdependently in the most appropriate way.
